A children's playhouse, basketball net and goal posts are all on the grounds of the property. The owner has kindly left golf clubs, bicycles and fishing gear in the property for the holidaymakers. Surrounded by lovely forest walks it is a haven for walkers. Also, due to the hide away location it is a beautiful “dark sky” site with fantastic views, at the right times of the year, of the Milky Way and meteor showers.

Whilst in Dunkineely, a visit to St John's point is a must: at 6 miles in length, it is one of the longest headlands in Ireland and is known as Donegal's answer to the Burren. For the visitor who wishes to get away from it all there is a great walking trail, which will take you through some of the most beautiful and serene hills and valleys to be found anywhere in Ireland.
