The Awesome Cliffs of Moher have featured in almost every pictorial guide to Ireland ever produced and have been employed as a backdrop in films and on television. However, no recreation can substitute for direct experience of their grandeur and sheer visual force. The Cliffs of Moher are Ireland’s top scenic visitor attraction and an incredible experience. They are 8 km long and 214 metres high and stand against the might of the Atlantic Ocean. O’Brien’s Tower, located on the highest cliff, is an exceptional viewing point. The Cliffs can be visited year-round. Spanish Point Golf Club is a lovely links course overlooking the beach on the west coast of Clare. It has some 3 par holes which demand accuracy in shot making especially when there is a strong Atlantic wind blowing. This course provides a challenging game for all categories of golfers. The area has some wonderful coastal and inland walking routes and water sports and deep sea fishing are available locally. This is the perfect base from which to tour the beautiful West Coast of Ireland.
