The property is located above a caravan site, which is owned by the same person as property. There are about 100 caravans and customers are usually families that come back year after year. From house view to sea is uninterrupted by caravans as they are in front of the house but at a lower level.
Daniel O'Connell's home, Derrynane house and gardens and the adjoining beach are now a national historic park and well worth a visit, less than 1/2 mile away. An excellent booklet on marvellous local walks has now been produced by the Derrynane Hotel, and is available in the hotel only a stroll from this wonderful home! A week is just not long enough.
Kerry is known as 'the Kingdom'. The Irish recognise a distinctive Kerry character, with a boisterous sense of living life to the full. As well as the friendliest people in Ireland, the region has some of the finest scenery.
