Delightful traditional style thatched cottage within walking distance from the Cashel House and Zetland Hotel nestled at the bottom of Cashel Hill. This cottage has superb views of the sea and Connemara mountains. A romantic thatched hideaway nestling in its own large natural gardens decorated and furnished with an eye to the traditional but with modern comforts to make it a wonderful holiday home. Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey, Letterfrack and the Lough Inagh drive are a must. The famous Ballynahinch Castle is great for fishing and also this is a walkers paradise. Dogs Bay was voted the best beach in Ireland this year.

This is the prefect base from which to explore the spectacular scenery and charming villages of Connemara and for more lively pursuits Westport and Galway City are easily accessible by car. Connemara's Coast is broken up into a myriad of tiny islands many with early monastic remains to which boat trips can be arranged while the mountain ranges provide a stunning backdrop. Roundstone 15 minutes drive away is a botanists delight - many wild flowers rare to this country have been found against the backdrop of the majestic mountain of Errisbeg. The town has a selection of bars and restaurants (with freshly caught fish), craft shops, art galleries and arts festivals. To the south are the crescent shaped beaches of Gurteen and Dogs bay and further afield is the famous Ballyconnely 18 hole golf course. This is a perfect holiday destination for the whole family with something on offer to suit everyone's taste.
