Built in the 1840, these restored barns were once part of the impressive Knockabbey Castle Estate. Whilst the original 1,000 acre estate no longer operates, the Castle and Gardens remain for your enjoyment (open May to Sept). See the medieval water garden which originates from 1050. Louth is ideal for cycling and walking with the long distance walking route The Tain Way on your doorstep. The local village of Tallanstown has been a National Tidy Towns winner and boasts a good range of pubs with traditional music at various times.
