Kilfinane is 5 miles, Mitchelstown 8 miles, Blarney Castle 47 miles, the Rock of Cashel (medieval complex dating back to the 5th century) is 40 miles. This a fabulous walking area and the surrounding mountains command soaring views across the valleys below. Kilfinnane is also renowned horse country.

Killaloe for boat hire is 15 minutes drive whilst Limerick city is only 15 miles.

Across the road is a nature park developed on the banks of the River Feale. Great for fishing and walkways taking in the idyllic views of surrounding countryside.
