The fishing village of Kilkieran is on the dramatic coastline in County Galway. It features a stone pier and from here visitors can watch the fishermen as they process the day’s salmon and seaweed. There are unspoiled beaches just a short drive away, as well as the beautiful National Park of Connemara and the magnificent Connemara Loop. There are many lakes in the area so it is an angler’s paradise, and if fishing is not your thing then there are ample of walking opportunities to take in the glorious scenery. A little further away are the Aran Islands, and a boat trip across to the islands can give you a taste of traditional Irish life. This area is the perfect place to relax and escape for a while. |

This large house is 35 miles from Galway City in scenic Connemara. Simply furnished throughout it enjoys a large lawned garden to the rear with extensive views over Kilkieran Bay. A stroll to the village shop, pub, and restaurant and a nice walk to the harbour. A wonderful feature is the deck at the side of the house enabling you to enjoy a drink or a meal whilst lapping up the stunning scenery. It is perfect for touring and equal distance to the City and Clifden; Kylemore Abbey the Connemara National Park and Westport in Mayo via Leenaun are not to be missed. |

The area is devoid of commercialism and boasts a pub, a bistro, church and grocery store. This gorgeous house has floor to ceiling windows to display the panoramic views of the sea and Connemara mountains. Inside is tastefully decorated, with a spiral staircase that leads to the upstairs bedrooms with balcony. A truly scenic base and one you will be loath to leave. |

The lively fishing village of Kilkieran is on the stunning rugged coastline in County Galway, and features a stone pier where the local fishermen process their catch of salmon and seaweed, which visitors will find fascinating to watch. The village is a short way from some beautiful unspoiled beaches. Further afield but no less interesting are the Aran Islands, famous for knitted jumpers and an abundance of wildlife, and boats can be chartered to tour around these lovely isles and glimpse a view of traditional Irish life.
