The town offers shops and bars, and is well known for the Mahon Falls, the picturesque waterfalls which lie just outside the town. From Passage East you can catch a ferry and make the short journey to Ballyhack, and from there travel down to the Hook Peninsula. A short drive from Passage East will take you to Waterford City; known as the capital of South East Ireland, Waterford has something to satisfy all tastes. A short ferry trip from Passage East, Ballyhack can be reached and from there, the Hook Peninsula is a must see attraction. The scenic and rugged Hook Peninsula with the stunning Hook lighthouse has many beaches, some of which have been awarded with the Blue Flag award.
