The village of Tacumshane in County Wexford has a pub and restaurant and is home to the Republic of Ireland's only surviving windmill which was built in 1846 from timber thought to be beach driftwood or wood from the shipwrecks that were all too common in this coastal region. The windmill is now designated a national monument. County Wexford has ample to offer - Tacumshane Lake is a favourite with anglers and birdwatchers, there are many golf courses, and the coastal walking path is easily reached. Kilmore Quay fishing village is a few miles down the road, and there are some lovely beaches. The county town of Wexford is less than 10 miles away, and offers ample of amenities including shops, bars and restaurants. |

Curracloe is a popular tourist destination for all visitors.
