Newgrange, the Hill of Tara, Celtic Cross and Trim Castle which is the largest Anglo Norman castle in Europe are all worth a visit. Trim Castle is famous for its use in the film Braveheart. There are many more historical sites locally and locally there are great lakes for fishing or just a stroll. Also close by are the Bogs of Corstown and Ardee which are ideal for a relaxing stroll and a chance to see nature at its best. The market towns of Ardee, Carrickmacross and Kingscourt provide the chance to get a bargain and offer great pubs and restaurants.
